Since the late 90’s Bruno Bozzetto has begun getting support by a few external production and animation studios that have been responsible in the making of new films and serials, but still created, directed, supervised and scripted by Bruno Bozzetto himself.
It is worthwhile to mention The Animation Band Studio which back in 2003 took care of both the making and direction – this one exceptionally assigned to Giuseppe Laganà, one of Bruno’s former collaborators in the past – of the 26 episodes’ series “The Spaghetti Family”, and which most recently in conjunction with RAI FICTION, has produced the 3D animated series “I Cosi” (Things, 2005).
“I Cosi”, on the other hand was concretely made by Max Carrieri Ragazzi’s Maga Animation Studio, another professional animation studio based in Monza and focused on high end 3D animation.
In the last few years, the cooperation between Bruno Bozzetto and Maga Animation Studio has strengthened to such an extent to manifest the production of the Psico-Vip project.

This is a 3D animated series of 26 episodes created and directed by Bruno Bozzetto, and co-produced by Maga Animation Studio along with RAI FICTION.

Bruno Bozzetto also regularly collaborates with Studio Alienatio, which was founded in Milan several years ago by Bruno’s second son Fabio Bozzetto and Diego Zucchi.
The Studio’s production range does not only cover the art of cartoon making and illustration, but also the advertising industry through the production of animated TV commercials, music videos, animated documentaries of complex scientific-medical content. Most of their TV advertisements have been specially made for MTV.
Some of the animated shorts created and produced on their own have been screened at Festivals in Italy and abroad, occasionally winning awards.
In 2006 at Big Screen Italia in China, Studio Studio Alienatio’s animated short “AZIZ” was assigned both the Jury and Audience Awards.
Studio Alienatio’s unique style successfully blends several animation techniques including 2D animation, 3D animation, live filming and incorporating meticulous attention to detail through colours, shades and special effects. As for the soundtracks, Studio Alienatio relies on Maurizo Malagnini’s stunning music skill. This exclusive style is the hallmark of Studio Alienatio’s production. Under Bruno’s direction, Studio Alienatio has made 3 educational animated shorts for the Provincial Council of Bergamo, a short historical animated documentary, a few TV spots about medical subjects, and an animated video for Zecchino d’ Oro.

Another newborn animation and production studio is Studio Bozzetto & Co., recently founded by Bruno himself together with his first son Andrea Bozzetto and Pietro Pinetti, both previously ran their own 3D animation studio Blinky Animation.
Studio Bozzetto & Co. was founded as a 3D animation and production studio to produce animated shorts, long feature films, TV animated serials and TV spots employing several techniques such as 2D animation (classic and digital), cut-out and 3D animation throughout all stages of development.
The Studio is established in Bergamo and Milan and comprises a large network of several professionals whom, by working as a team, are able to develop successful, innovative and creative outcomes for each production. Studio Bozzetto & Co. worked over the pre-production of the “Psico-Vip” series as well as a couple of short spots for “Superquark”, a few TV spots and events (Eco, Store, SKY, and Birra Moretti), a series of documentaries for a SKY channel, some TV spots for Mediaset (Paperissima and Stranamore) and many institutional videos.
Collaborating with the main networks in Italy and abroad provides Studio Bozzetto & Co. on-going work on new productions such as “Bruno the Great”, a 2D animation comprising 20 episodes produced by Disney Channel for a worldwide distribution. “Bruno the Great” is created and directed by Bruno Bozzetto.
